I have been a merchant of Chase Paymentech (owned and operated by First Data) and I have have to warn all merchants to stay away from this company. This company treats their customers like crooks.

They don't assign you with a customer service manager to handle your account and when there is a problem they just withdraw funds from your account with out even providing you with an explanation. They will not return your calls for months and there is no point in speaking to their managers cause even when it is their fault they will past the blame to you.

To save you tears and anger go with someone else.

The gift and loyalty programs introduced by them are vague. I personally used this card for my business and found that Chase Paymentech has charged back me for using the card which is not a part of their gift card program

I was with Chase Paymentech, (switched without my permission to) First Data, then I moved back to Chase Paymentech (wron move) And over the years had little or no support. If you dont have a problem, no worries.

However if you have an issue, forget getting anywhere with them. The latest claim we had with them is they CHARGED OUR website FOR Services that were NOT performed for nearly 3 years...how does this happen? The initial contact set it up for gateway and phone support and then proceeded to not actually set it up electronically and I failed to notice over a 3 year period bc I entered many orders manually. They claim they could only give a refund of $20 per month x 3 months - yes, 3 months...not 3 years!

I have yet to see even the $60.00 they said they'd pay. Our website was billed for 3 years for a gateway service from them they said was working and I learned many years later why it wasnt working bc a customer emailed me and said their credit card wouldnt go thru. I was foolish yes in thinking they should have taken care of me in the 1st place...but shame on them for billing us for services they actually admitted they did not provide to our website - they billed us for both manual services and electronic services. I plan on wait for my contract to run out and will cancel the program.

Problem was discovered in 2011 and as of March 2012 I have not seen any refunds. I would stay away from them from the mere standpoint they have NO SUPPORT for the merchant when a problem occurs.

I think it should be noted that First Data and Chase Paymentech have splitt up for the very reasons you all are complaining about. this venture ended in late 08.

Since then J.P Morgan Chase fully owns and operates Chase Paymentech.

First data is still very Shady, but i setup a few account with Chase Paymentech and i have been pleased. as of Oct 11 when i signed, there was no contract/termination fee.

Fifth Third Processing Solutions is a great alternative! They really helped me understand the credit card fees I was being charged and I am always able to get a hold of a customer service rep.

Where do we go if not Chase / Firstdata ? What other options do we have ?

I got lured in by a salesman who would not leave my home for 7 hours. I am a small-time artist who wanted to be able to sell my work.

He asked me how much I expected to make in sales, and I told him about $100 a month. I was able to get released from the contract because it was within 90 days, but within that 90 days they had siphoned over $600 from my account.

They are unethical lying sacks of ***.

They rip you off, damage your credit and lie to you like rugs. If you signed with them, get out of it today!

@AnotherMadUser ... Sorry but I LOL'd when I read "would not leave my home for 7 hours." Are you serious?...lol...You should've told'em to get the heck out & called the *** police if he didn't. If you can't assert yourself in your own *** house then you deserve to get disrespect in such a way.

I totally agree and am glad that I am not alone the worst company I have EVER dealt with.

They are the mob. They were sued

under the rico act.

If a bussines uses first data I do

not buy there.

I never signed a three year contract! I cancelled my account 10/31/2010 and they still want to bill be for November and charge me an early termination fee.

Its is not going to happen!!!!!!!!!

Class action suit? I am with you.

Be aware: First Data will take money out of your bank account even after you've ended your relationship and moved on to a different service provider. They don't care that it's dishonest, and they don't care if you're a nonprofit barely getting by.

They just want your money. Worst company to do business with ever in my 30+ years of business.

I signed up with last month but was still using my other merchant service account. I took two payments and by the time they were done adding on fee's it was cheaper to use my other account for several more transactions and dollars.

I am fuming.

Shame on Chase Bank to promote a service that is substandard. I'd join a class action just for principal.

Find your local processing companies and make sure they will have a respresentative available at all times for your business. Many processing companines have a 24-7 tech support but many don't have local reps that can discuss numbers.

Research Interchange plus Pricing versus Tier Pricing. If you're a wise business owner then you would know that Interchange plus Pricing is what you should be on not Tier Pricing. This is a very unethical industry so figure it for yourself by educating yourself. I am a local rep in Las Vegas and am on of the few honest ones.

I know what many of you business owners are experiencing.

Just get online and do your research and make sure you have a rep. Here is my email if I could be of assistance: jlprioritypayment@***.com

Chase Paymentech told me one thing and charged me another. They explained parts of the legal jargon in my contract in a way that was false, roping me into a 3 year contract (instead of 1) and charging me more than 3 times more per month in fees than what was originally promised.

I'm currently trying to get out of my contract, but am frustrated that they seem not to care at all about the small business owner, but are only out to secure contracts.

This has happened to others, I've found, and am infuriated by it. Class action lawsuit, anyone?

most of you are retarted, how can you assume what is right when your not the processor or the aquiring bank LOL.... read a contract and you will see they only do that because your bank his bank there bank require such actions and its funny that most of you are complaining about your own business pratices...

if you want a deposit ask for cash only or go to a high risk processor and see how much more they charge to run the sale in the first place...

really do some research thats why all of you who said your thinking of getting a lawer didn't do anything because you didn't know what you were talking about its not your money its the bank its not the card "Holders" its the banks... thats why they issue the card not "hold it" i could go on forever im not saying that you did anything wrong just sounds like you pissed off the wrong person like you would if you got a ticket and told the cop to go *** himself just remeber the people are people and they understand the reason you choose to be blind if you were nice about it they might feel worse but since you acted like you can do what you want they just proved you wrong thanks have a nice day...
